A New Experience!

Henry played in his first T-ball game on Saturday, April 26th as a proud member of the Rockets. He is the only lefty on his team. Henry had some family there to cheer him on; Daddy, Mommy, Elaine, Grandma "who lives in the green house", Grandma Linda and Grandpa Tim. At the start of the second inning Henry was doing the "potty dance" on the infield and had to take a bathroom break. He missed most of the inning.

Elaine came out to cheer Henry on and drink some water. Her favorite part was climbing up and down the bleachers. She did some yelling "Go Hanee!"
According to Henry the best part of T-ball "is hitting the ball". It only took him four tries to make contact with the ball. He would rather drive the bat in the dirt to make roads. After he hit the ball he stopped to remove his helmet, because it was too big. Then he slowly walked to first base. Running the bases is difficult and one needs a great deal of instruction to make sure you're headed in the right direction. The first time around the bases he decided to run in a circle back to second from third. Who needs to go home and why do I need to touch the plate? Where is the plate?! The second time around the bases he just chose to walk.

"The worst part of T-ball is catching the ball." Of course he never caught the ball, didn't even get near the ball. The reason for that is simple, "the ball is scary". When asked if he liked playing T-ball he said "no, I never want to do that again".

And that concludes the replay of Henry's first experience with T-ball.

Our Yard is Growing Candy?

The Saturday before Easter was beautiful!
Since rain was expected on Sunday we had an Easter egg hunt in our backyard for the kids.

They had so much fun running around searching for eggs.

Henry found more than Elaine. Every time she found one she wanted to open it. She never wanted to put in in the Easter basket.

Once they were done searching they got to eat some of the delicious candy they had found.

Henry thought it was great that our yard was "growing candy"! He wanted to grow more...

Moka really want to eat some of the candy too, but the kids wouldn't share. Poor dog.
