Life continues to change

For those of you who check our blog I wanted to give you a quick update on our family.

As of today, October 20, 2008 Josh is returning to full time work at FedEx. We've done the two part time jobs thing for a year and it's not working. Recently, Josh began seeing a chiropractor for his back and that has helped with the spine alingment issues. Also, he did acupuncture for a month and that helped reduce the pain. Now, we are praying for God to keep his back strong, so he will be able to support his family and Candi will be able to quit working.

Henry is in Cubbies at Hope Fellowship in Maple Valley on Thursday nights. He enjoys doing art projects and earning Awana dollars to spend at the Awana store. His favorite toys all have wheels and he has really taken an interest in drawing and legos.

Elaine is growing up and adding new words to her vocabulary everyday. She likes to tease her big brother and then tattles when he retaliates. (This is slightly amusing.) Every Thursday night she goes to Kindermusik to sing and dance. She really enjoys going and is the only girl in the class, so she eats up all that attention.

September Vacation

In the beginning of September we took a mini-vacation around Western Washington. Here are some pictures of our fun...

On Sunday...We went to Ocean Shores for some fun in the sun. We had lunch on the beach. Candi drove on a beach for the first time.

If you're at the ocean you must fly a kite, the kids each took a turn and had fun making it nose dive into the sand.
Henry built a sand castle with Daddy's help. Lainee found it boring and preferred playing in the bucket of water.
Next we ran in the waves. Lainee loved this part. The waves would come up to her chest. We would pick up her up and she would just kick her legs and laugh. It was FUN!
Henry did not like the waves and chose a place about 10 feet from where the tide came in. He had to be behind this log. Even then he would scream and run away.

On Monday, we had a picnic lunch at Lake Sylvia State Park. We roasted marshmallows and enjoyed sticky sweet s'mores. We also went on a Ferry boat ride at the end of the day. That was the best part of Henry's whole vacation.

On Tuesday, we headed to Woodland part zoo. This was a big mistake on our part, the kids did not like the zoo and asked repeatedly if we could leave. According to the kids it was very boring and had too much walking. The best part was the flamingos and we saw them in the first 10 minutes at the zoo. I don't think we'll do this again.

This was how Elaine saw the animals, I don't even know what animal we're looking at. After the zoo we enjoyed the Seattle waterfront where we watched the ferry boats and ate ice cream.
